How UNIBEN Calculates Your Aggregate Score
It’s simple. UNIBEN considers your UTME score, post UTME score, and your O’Level result (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB). Your UTME score takes 50%, post UTME receives 40% while the remaining 10% goes to your O’Level. The addition of the three forms your aggregate and it is what UNIBEN considers to offer you admission.
If your UTME score is low, you can still leverage on the post UTME and O’Level to boost your chances of gaining admission.
Here’s the overall calculation:
Aggregate = (UTME score ÷ 8) + post UTME score + O’Level points.
It’s quite easy to know your O’Level point.
- A1 attracts 2.0 points
- B2 attracts 1.8 points
- B3 gets 1.6 points
- C4 takes 1.4 points
- C5 receives 1.2 points
- C6 manages 1.0 points
Now assume your UTME score is 240, post UTME score is 30 out of 40 and you have 5 A1s (total of 10 points) in required O’Level subject, your aggregate score is going to be:
Aggregate = (240÷8) + 30 + 10 = 30 + 30 + 10 = 70.0
That means you have a total aggregate score of 70.0%. You can then compare the percentage with the cutoff mark of the course you choose.
How UNIBEN Determines 2024/2025 Departmental Cut-Off Mark
